Kartik Singh is a civil and environmental engineer with experience across tailings, infrastructure delivery, project management and public-sector projects. His work sits at the intersection of technical engineering, practical delivery and the institutional decisions required to move infrastructure and environmental projects forward.
Waste2Resource grew from a professional interest in a difficult question: how can mine wastes move from being managed liabilities to credible resources without losing sight of variability, environmental behaviour, engineering performance and whole-of-project constraints? The platform is designed to help practitioners find relevant evidence while keeping the assumptions and limitations attached to it.
Waste2Resource is an independent, engineering-led knowledge platform. It brings together source-linked research, operating examples and a practical assessment framework for tailings reuse, mine-waste valorisation and circular infrastructure. Its Australian perspective reflects the scale of the country’s mining sector, the importance of infrastructure delivery and mine closure, and the opportunity to develop responsible markets for secondary materials.
The platform focuses on four connected areas: tailings reuse and reprocessing; recovery of value from mine waste; circular materials for infrastructure and rehabilitation; and the Australian technical, regulatory and project context needed to move from laboratory evidence to implementation.
